ProductTanks, created by Mind the Product, are informal meetups that bring local product people together and provide a space to new speakers to share amazing product insights. With over 200 cities hosting ProductTanks globally, we're excited to start a monthly series highlighting some of these fantastic meetups.
We had a great start to 2025, ProductTanks hosted 48 meetups around the world with a lot of product management insights were shared, and in this article we will highlight a few. We welcomed Ana Rodrigues as a co-organiser for ProductTank Porto.
Pritam Das, one of our organisers, summarised the event very well.
'Wow! What an incredible ProductTank Chicago Mind the Product event last night! Christian Idiodi ‘s talk on “Product Management is a Team Sport” was packed with insights on collaboration, value creation, and customer-centricity. His simple yet powerful examples, like solving Starbucks’ problems by tackling comparable businesses first, were eye-opening.
The TransUnion auditorium was buzzing with energy as nearly ~200 product professionals gathered to learn and share experiences. A big shout-out to Abhinav Gupta and TransUnion for sponsoring the event.
Christian’s message was clear: great product management is about teamwork, diverse perspectives, and a shared commitment to creating value. It’s events like these that remind us of the power of our product community.
Thanks David Jesse, Steven R Jones, Lauren Polkow, Jenny Zhao, Anna-Mi Widman, Aeriel Robinson, Nigel Caine, Greg Healy for the great collaboration. Looking forward to working together on many more such great events.

👏Thanks to our great speakers on the night delivering thought-provoking talks to remind us to stay curious, focus on the user, and embrace the complexity of meaningful work! 💡
Jacqui Venter shared profound insights into behavioral science:
👉 It's all about understanding "the why behind the why."
👉 Shift your mindset: Love the problem, not the solution.
👉 Behavioral interventions, like the one sec app, encourage mindful decisions—pausing before diving into social media.
👉 Always ask: What do you want your users to do? Then, work backward to design for it.
Matt Jukes delved into the realities of product management in public service:
🔑 Government products face unique challenges: no competition ("You can't get a passport anywhere else!") and policies over profits.
💡 Despite this, the work has purpose—solving real problems for people across the country.
🤝 Public sector product teams are part of a global community tackling shared challenges.
📚 ☕ Congratulations to Simon Barrett our winner who walked away with a couple of books, and the first of the limited edition ProductTank Cardiff 2025 mugs + a Product go to bundle of Sharpies and Post Its!
