She talks about what vision is, why it matters and how to find it.
Vision comprises your values, purpose and envisioned future, says Keela. Your best employees – committed, high performing, autonomous and stewards of your brand – are purpose driven. They understand where you are going and why you matter. They are inspired and guided by your vision.
Short employee tenure, team growth, mergers and acquisitions, remote working, lean and agile can spread your culture thin. They mean you need a wide range of strategies to engage your team in your vision.
Keela advises that you determine the values that drive your choices and illustrates the concept of values with examples from Volkswagen and Amazon.
Keela then explains that the strongest purposes are closely tied to human needs. She demonstrates how, through some thoughtful questioning, every company can identify its deeper purpose.
Strong vision requires an envisioned future which is audacious, future thinking and customer focused. Keela looks into this with examples from Tesla and Kindle.
