This year is extra special because we’re celebrating the 15th anniversary of the very first ProductTank meetup, the spark that ignited a global movement of product people coming together to share, learn, and grow. Whether you’re a seasoned product leader or just starting your journey, World Product Day is your day to connect with the global product community and celebrate everything we love about product management.
So, how did this all start?
Back in 2010, in London, a small group of product people gathered for the first-ever ProductTank meetup, and the rest was history. The idea was simple: create a space for product people to talk shop, share challenges, and exchange insights. What started as a local meetup quickly grew into a worldwide phenomenon. Today, ProductTank spans over 200 cities across the globe, bringing together tens of thousands of product professionals each month.
To celebrate this incredible growth, World Product Day was born in 2018, turning a single day into a global celebration of product management. Every May, ProductTank communities around the world host special events, AMAs, panels, and networking sessions—bringing product people together, no matter where they are.
For our 15th anniversary, we’re introducing two exciting new ways for you to get involved!
We’re calling all creative product folks! This year, we want to see your artistic side. Design and submit your own artwork featuring the words "World Product Day 2025"
Whether it’s a digital design, hand-drawn sketch, or something totally unexpected—we want to see it! The most creative submissions will be featured on Mind the Product and across our community.

It’s time to celebrate the amazing product people in our community with the first-ever World Product Day Awards! We’re recognizing product people, and organisations, in 10 unique categories, and we need your nominations!
The 10 award categories are:
🏅 Best Product Voice Award – For the person who’s shaping the conversation in product.
🌟 Rising Star Award – The up-and-comer making waves in product management.
🔥 Coolest Product Award – The most innovative, groundbreaking product this year.
🌍 Sustainability Hero Award – A product person championing sustainability.
💙 Customer-Centric Award – Someone who puts the customer at the heart of every decision.
📢 The People’s Choice Award – Voted by the community, for the community!
📊 The Data Alchemist Award – The person who turns data into product gold.
🔍 The User Research Champion Award – A champion of user insights and research.
📖 The Product Storyteller Award – Someone who brings products to life through storytelling.
⚖️ The Ethical Product Award – Celebrating a product with integrity and ethics in spades.
